Cecil Road Primary School celebrates spring with vibrant modelling show

There was no shortage of colour, flowers and big smiles at Cecil Road Primary School in Salt River on Friday, September 4, as pupils and parents celebrated Spring Day.

A colourful celebration of Spring

The school came alive with a fun-filled modelling show, with young participants strutting their stuff in a beautiful array of colourful and creative Spring-inspired outfits.

From bright floral creations to handmade costumes, the event showcased plenty of imagination, with some outfits lovingly put together by pupils and their parents.

Smiles, creativity and plenty of excitement

Organiser and teacher, Imaan Gamieldien, said the day was all about celebrating the arrival of Spring and bringing some excitement to the school.

“Seeing the smiles and happy faces lets us know Spring is really here, and it was so amazing to see some of the Spring costumes that the pupils and parents handmade,” she said.

Spring has officially arrived

The modelling show proved to be a wonderful celebration of creativity, community, and the colourful season ahead - and judging by the smiles, Spring has certainly arrived at Cecil Road Primary.
